Our Team

Dave McClung (The Guru)

Owner & Master Diagnostician

Dave began his career in 1995 as an entry level technician while attending Brookdale Community College's Automotive Technology Program. He invested every free moment into learning newer automotive technology and attending independent training classes to become an Advanced Master Technician. He is a TDI (diesel) specialist and has performed multiple newer Volkswagen drivetrain swaps into non-German cars. He holds the (L1 & L3), (A1-A9) Advanced ASE Master Automobile Technician and Hybrid Automobile Certifications and is the "go-to" guy for all diagnostic troubleshooting.

Dave purchased Autobahn Automotive in 2002 and has been the driving force behind the shop's high standards of automotive repair, customer service, and code of ethics. He has worked in many shops where unqualified technicians are "learning" on jobs they simply aren't qualified to perform. Dave is an avid cuboid-puzzle enthusiast. He also enjoys playing bass guitar, working on Pontiac Fieros (a cult car from the 1980's), trying new craft beers, and spending time with his family.

Kristen LaCour

Client Care Specialist, Service Advisor

Kristen is the initial point of contact at Autobahn Automotive, her cheerful attitude is matched by her great attention to detail. Kristen brings non-automotive experience to Autobahn Automotive, fostering an approachable and friendly experience with clients and vendors, turning them into lasting relationships.

Born, raised, and currently residing in Point Pleasant, Kristen attended Rutgers University and graduated with a degree in Psychology. Kristen worked previously in human resources and has her real estate license. Her spare time is devoted to watching & playing soccer, enjoying the beach, and rooting on the New York Jets and New Jersey Devils.

Jessica Sibert

Digital Marketing Manager, Photographer, Client Care Specialist

Jessica comes from a background of working with animals, however, she has always wanted to pursue a career where she can utilize her creative skills. She joined the Autobahn team in March 2018 to do just that as our Marketing Manager. With a good eye for photos and a strong, personable approach, she is the forerunner behind our social media and advertisements. Whether behind the camera or the computer, she enjoys what she does.

In her down time Jess likes to do anything outdoors; from snowboarding, to scuba diving, to hiking with her three Siberian Huskies.

Ryan Vens (The Canadian)

Master Technician & Shop Foreman

Ryan is an ASE Master Technician that has been with Autobahn Automotive since 2010. He received an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology from Raritan Valley Community College, with a Golden Wrench Award (top of his class). He never applied for the job at Autobahn... Dave saw his custom fabrication work and sought him out. After talking, Dave offered him a position and Ryan relocated to the Jersey Shore.

In his spare time, Ryan races 944 Cup with The Porsche Club of America, and works in the pit- crew for the SCCA. His other hobbies include riding motorcycles, sailing, working on his house boat, and enjoying quality craft beer with Dave.

Since coming to us in 2014, Jeff has become an essential part of the team. At Autobahn, Jeff handles the complex jobs that require meticulous hands. Jobs such as repairing damaged wiring harnesses, interior trim, windows, and seats. Jeff is also our resident wheel alignment tech. He handles 90% of the shop's complicated wheel alignments and is a perfectionist, ensuring that each job will be done to the highest standard.

He started learning everything could about them, and his fascination continues to evolve here at Autobahn Automotive. Ken holds an Associate's Degree in Information Technology and is currently working toward his Bachelor's.

He spends his spare time training his Rottweilers in obedience, agility, and bite work. When he is not with his dogs, he can be found relaxing in front of his giant 180 gallon fish tank, which is filled with African Cichlids. His other hobbies include making fun of those who enjoy craft beer.
